Hello Southern California, We're Back!  We have had so many requests to bring back a camp to Southern California we just couldn't resist you any longer.  We are so excited to be returning in 2020!

Date Choice: We surveyed you, the players about this camp, and you told us that the best weekend to hold the camp would be July 23-26, 2020.  So that is the weekend we scheduled.

Rink Choice: We also asked you about rinks. The choice was between Anaheim Ice and Lakewood Ice.  Several people suggested the new Great Park rink, but that is not an option for 2020.  The survey results slightly favored Anaheim Ice, but after a discussion with managers at both facilities, our plan is to host this camp at Lakewood Ice.  Even though both rinks are available on this date, we feel that Lakewood will provide a better camp experience.  There are two primary reasons for this:

1) Hotel Availability - Anaheim Ice is in close proximity to Disneyland, and as you might imagine, in July, hotel rates are extremely high and availability is very low.  We feel we can get a much better deal for our players that will require lodging.  We will be negotiating a lodging deal at a nearby hotel and posting it when the deal is finalized.

2) Meeting Space - Anaheim Ice simply does not have the meeting space we require for our off ice learning activities, which include chalk talks and video review sessions.  These are a very important part of the camp learning experience.

For those of you that prefer Anaheim Ice, I hope you understand our decision.  While we understand that any extra driving in Southern California is not ideal, we think it will be worth it for a better camp experience.

Who Should Attend?

At Weekend Warriors we have something for every player. Whether you're a new player who needs proper guidance through the crucial early development phases, or an experienced player who has been playing for 30 years, our coaches will ensure that you get the training you need!

Goalies get special treatment, with our goalie specific curriculum led by one of our dedicated goalie coaches

Women don't be intimidated. We have women players at all of our camps, and also have a number of female coaches on our talented staff.

See what our alumni are saying about our camps:

"Weekend Warriors Hockey Camp took my understanding of the game to the next level and gave me the tools to improve every aspect of my own game." - Jack E.

"The combination of 12 hours of ice time, superior coaching, skill progressions, video analysis, and social events was outstanding. I didn't know how it would be attending the camp on my own, but everyone made me feel welcome and I learned more than I have at any other camp. The coaching staff was knowledgeable and professional." – Lynda R.

"Clinics/instructionals around here don't even come close to as much detail as this camp provides." – Steve R.

"WW was the ideal 4-day vacation. You are taught proper the techniques needed to play the game to the best of your ability. I entered camp somewhat confident in my playing ability, was quickly humbled when I learned I wasn't as good as I thought I was, worked hard and had fun, and left camp with a smile on my face, feeling better about myself and my playing ability than I ever have in my entire life. No matter what your skill level is, you leave WW camp better. And the friendships you develop off the ice are for the lifetime." – Pat M.

"I think I got a lot of useful of feedback, and had several "a ha!" moments.  I couldn't do the outside edge C drill at all, and Kevin took a look at what I was doing and immediately knew what my problem was, and gave me some tips about how to correct it."– Steve B.

"I spend about $120 per 6-8 week session of "learn-to-play", and have been doing it for about 2.5 yrs. While I like the ice time, the instruction is definitely not as structured or focused as in camp. It's also not as individualized." – Matt M.
