What is a typical Camp Schedule
Unless otherwise noted, camps start on Thursday evening and run through Sunday morning/early afternoon. Exact ice times will vary by rink, but the following is a schedule for a typical camp:
Typical Ice Times (6 sessions of 2 hours/session)
Thursday: 6:00 to 8:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 to 11:00 AM and 3:30 to 5:30 PM
Saturday: 9:00 to 11:00 AM and 3:30 to 5:30 PM
Sunday: 9:00 to 11:00 AM
Typical Schedule of Off-Ice Activities
Thursday: Orientation meeting 2 hours before the first skate.
Thursday Evening: “Break the Ice Party” after the evening skate. This is a great time to meet the coaches, staff and other players.
Friday and Saturday Afternoon: Between the morning and afternoon ice sessions, we hold “chalk talks” and video review sessions. In the chalk talks we discuss game strategy, positioning, and other concepts. In the video review sessions, we analyze your skating stride as well as critique the camp scrimmage. Our players find these off ice coaching sessions incredibly valuable to the learning experience.
Saturday Evening: Camp Banquet Dinner for all of the players, coaches and staff. This will be hosted at a local restaurant. A great time to celebrate all of the fun and learning of the first 3 days.
